Chip and Joanna Gaines took to national TV this week to talk about rumors that they are divorcing.
In an interview with TODAY, the “Fixer Upper” stars and couple of strong faith told Jenna Bush Hager that the rumors are not true, but that doesn’t mean such false narratives don’t bother them.
“I think for me, even from the beginning, just because I don’t do great with seeing that kind of stuff, reading into it, I just don’t know what’s going on,” Joanna said. “So then I’ll hear someone come up to me and say, ‘I hear you and Chip are getting a divorce.’ I’m like, ‘Where did you hear [that]?’ I don’t know any of this is going on.”
“So we do our due diligence in letting people know as much as we can, ‘This isn’t us. Don’t be scammed,'” she advised.

In August, Chip echoed that sentiment and even went further, guaranteeing that the two will never split:

When asked if they were prepared for the vicious rumors, they both gave a resounding, “No!”
Chip, though, approaches it with his trademark humor.
“It’s funny, I mean, when I think about these circumstances, I think they’re hilarious,” he said. “I’m like, ‘I can’t believe that these things are happening to us.’ Because part of me thinks, ‘Who would care about that?'”
Earlier in the year, Joanna put to bed another rumor that she was leaving the show.
“There have been rumors floating around about me leaving the show to start a skincare/makeup line. I wanted to take a minute to let y’all know that it’s simply not true,” she said at the time.
Continued prayers for the couple, since the rumors and attacks are sure to increase as their influence (especially for Christ) grows.
