Dads, are you a great coach for your kids?

It takes a team to win at life. Winning at life means following God, loving God, loving others, and helping them do the same! We cannot do this alone; we need a team. The best place to start forming the winning team is at home.

Dads, you can be a great coach for your kids in winning at life with God. You can help them learn and practice key plays and fundamentals so that your sons and daughters are ready at “game-time.” The best place to start forming the winning team is at home. You can also be on the field with your children as a teammate, playing in the game of life right alongside of them.

So, what are some key plays & fundamentals to practice with your family?

Pray with your children.

Attend church as a family regularly.

Read the Bible regularly.

Remember this: God is with your family and wants you to experience a great life.  He is the head coach!

He wants to teach you His plays through His Word (the bible).  He wants to coach you through locker room meetings, also called prayer time.  He wants to get you fired up to go into the battle through worship.  He wants you to be encouraged and see results when you love and help others.

The whole point is to experience the full and awesome life God wants you to experience.  In the bible, this is called the abundant life.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20

A great way to remember the family team concept in our faith journey is with the acronym T.E.A.M.

Together, you and your family can practice plays and be coached by God through the game of life.  If you lead your kids and come alongside them as a player-coach, you will experience abundantly more than you ever would without God!
