Sometimes as married people we can lose sight of what, exactly, the goal of our marriage should be. Kids, in-laws, family, work, and a myriad of other things take over and we get focused on the wrong things. Well, Pastor Todd Wagner is here to remind us of what that goal really should be: oneness.
“The goal of marriage is not that you wouldn’t get divorced, the goal of marriage is oneness: a symbiotic commitment of communal love and self-sacrifice, of mutual exaltation and care,” he says in a short video.
“We’re not going to covenant that we’re not going to divorce and then do things that tear about the relationship,” he adds.
Watch the entire thing below and be encouraged. And if you’re looking for a resource to help your own marriage, we got you covered here.
