Why I started TheCourage

Two years ago,  as I surveyed the landscape and was struck by the environment that we were raising our kids in, I started dreaming with some partners about what a digital platform centered on faith, family, and culture could look like. Something bigger than just myself. Something that made you a key component and was passionate about the things that you are passionate about.

Today, that dream culminates in TheCourage (TheCourage.com), a new website built on the faith and traditional values that you and I care about and that are key to restoring culture.

A new website built on the faith and traditional values that you and I care about and that are key to restoring culture.

Our goal at TheCourage is to be a digital destination filled with inspiring, encouraging, fun, and challenging content in the areas of faith, family, and culture. We want this to be a place where you can engage in thoughtful dialogue and community.

You can expect to see a mix of original op-eds, videos, and short stories covering everything from marriage advice, to parenting tips, to history, and we’ll put current events into Christian context through a network of lively contributors. Additionally, and we’re really excited about this, expect to see special e-courses in areas pertaining to faith, family, and culture.

All the content is meant to offer you hope and inspire action within your families and communities by shining a light on the things you support and care about — while also maintaining a posture of love and humility.

For too long Christians have settled for mediocrity, but not at TheCourage.

TheCourage will set high standards of excellence, from the content it produces, to the stories it shares, even down to the look and feel. For too long Christians have settled for mediocrity, but not at TheCourage. Those standards will permeate everything we do, from our podcasts to our videos to our writing.

I know you have a lot of choices when it comes to websites. I’m not asking you to give any of those up. What I am praying is that TheCourage becomes a new destination for those who care deeply about faith, family, and culture for the purpose of renewing all three. It’s time for Christians to have the courage to join God in restoring a heavenly culture on the earth (like we are supposed to), rather than running away from a culture we’ve allowed to decay. If we transform marriages and families, we can transform culture. And as we transform culture, we’re bringing Heaven to Earth.

Welcome to TheCourage!
